Visiting Details
How do I get there?
From I-40 take the center exit into Williams (exit 163). Travel south on Grand Canyon Blvd, and it will become 2nd Street. Continue south until you reach Sherman. The church is located on the southeast corner of the intersection. You may park on the sides of the streets, or the entrance to the parking lot is on Sherman, east of 2nd Street.
What do I wear?
Wear what you are comfortable in. You will see dresses and suits, and jeans and t-shirts.
What is there for my children to do?
The children join us for the first part of the service, and have their own Worship Bulletin. The children's bulletin contains first 6 items from the adult bulletin in a kid friendly format, and has activities for them to do (possible items include coloring pictures, mazes, dot-to-dot and comics. There are crayons located near the bulletins at the doors.) All activities in the children's bulletin relate to the lesson that will be taught in Young Disciples Church. After 'Young Disciples Time' in the service, they then have the option of going to Nursery or Young Disciples Church, or they are welcome to continue to sit with you for the remainder of the service. To reach the rooms where these classes are held, leave the sanctuary through the overflow room, go up the short flight of stairs and turn right at the top of the stairs. You will see the room used for the Young Disciples Church, and just beyond on the left is the nursery.
And when the service is over?
You are welcome to join us for fellowship time, and share in refreshments. On the second Sunday of each month, we have a potluck after service, and you are welcome to join us. There is always plenty of food, and everyone is welcome.
A little bit about our Sanctuary:
Our sanctuary was built in 1891. With God's help, we have taken the first two steps in updating our building. In phase 1, God enabled us to rebuild the leaning bell tower so it is now straight, and has a strong foundation. In phase 2, God guided us in stabilizing the foundation of the Sanctuary, and updating the flooring and painting the interior. With God's help, we have now started phase 3; replacing the windows, insulating and replacing the exterior walls. The west wall is almost complete, and then we will look at the north and south walls. We know this project is too big for us to do on our own, and praise God for his help and guidance.
